我 选择男朋友的标准很高, 我觉得我很难找到一个完全理想的人。 我想象我的未来会没有一个男朋友, 但是 我会有很多的宠物猫。即使以后只有猫陪着我, 我也不会降低我的标准。我理想的男朋友太完美了。

布鲁斯是个很有钱的商人。在城市外面他有个很大的房子。 他一直带我去看歌剧,  戏剧,  还带我去很贵的餐馆吃饭。要是我们去看电影,他就会带我去看首映式， 走红地毯。

布鲁斯很诚实, 很有道德。 似乎他很讨厌恶棍。 我很害怕坏蛋, 可是布鲁斯会保护我。 跟他在一起我一点儿也不害怕了。 布鲁斯真完美,  即使他很晚才出去, 早上再回来， 也不解释, 我也不会担心。

我和布鲁斯在一起觉得很安全, 而且他很像一个超级英雄。其实他有点像蝙蝠侠。 布鲁斯没有缺点, 他有钱, 很帅, 有能力。 虽然他应该很骄傲, 但是他像竹子一样地谦虚。我希望能找到像布鲁斯的男朋友, 可是像这样的男的只存在在小说里。

I have high standards when choosing a boyfriend.  I feel that I will not find someone completely perfect.  Not only do I easily see my future without a boyfriend, but I will probably have a lot of cats.  Regardless of whether later I will only have cats to keep me company, I will not lower my standards.  My ideal boyfriend is just too perfect.

My ideal boyfriend, “Bruce,” is tall and handsome.  He has black hair, blue eyes, and looks like a movie star.  He is also very kind, and buys me lots of gifts, like roses and jewelry.  Bruce must cook and clean, because I don’t like doing those things.  It is fine if he hires someone for these tasks.  He even has a great interest in Chinese kung-fu and traditional Chinese medicine.  It is good to see a foreigner with such a great interest in my culture!  

Bruce is a very wealthy businessman who has a large mansion outside of town.  He takes me on dates to the opera, theatre, and dinners at very expensive restaurants.  When he takes me to movies, he takes me to the red carpet premieres.  I know my parents will like him, because he’s rich.  He always picks me up on time in his sports car, and I love spending time with him.  He is very faithful, and has high morals.  He seems to greatly dislike villains.  I am terrified of clowns, but I don’t have to worry because Bruce always protects me when clowns are around.  Bruce is so perfect, I won’t even mind when he leaves late at night and returns in the morning with no explanation.  

I feel very safe with Bruce, as if he were some kind of hero, Gotham’s hero.   Actually, he reminds me a lot of Batman.  Bruce is perfect in every way.  He is rich, handsome, and talented.  Even though he has every reason to be proud he remains humble like bamboo.   Perhaps I will meet someone like Bruce, but a boyfriend like that only exists in fiction.
